Oxytetracycline 300 L.A Injection

Composition:
Per ml contains: Oxytetracycline (as Dihydrate) 300mg

Description:
A long acting sterile solution

Indications:
Infections caused by micro-organisms susceptible to Oxytetracycline, like infections of the respiratory tract (Pneumonia, Bronchopneumonia), infections of the urinary tract, (Endo)Metritis, Mastitis, Foot rot and Bedsoniasis in sheep, Dysentery, Shipping Fever, Blue Comb, gastro-enteritis, CRD (Chronic Respiratory Disease), Mycoplasmosis, Mastitis, Salmonellosis and liver abscesses in cattle, swine, sheep and goats.

Contra indications:
Do not administer to animals with a hypersensitivity to Tetracyclines, serious kidney and/or liver disturbances. Do not administer in combination with Penicillins or Cephalosporins.


Side effects:
Hypersensitivity reactions.

Dosage:
By deep intramuscular injection. At a dosage rate of :
Cattle, camel: 0.03ml per kg bodyweight
Swine, sheep, goat: 0.03-0.07ml per kg bodyweight
A single dose is recommended.
Treatment for severe infection, repeat injection after 48 hours.

Withdrawal times:
Meat : 28 days
Milk : 7 days
