Injection Transquin

Generic name:
Quinapyramine Sulphate & Quinapyramine Chloride

Composition:
Each sachet of Transquin prophylactic contains:
Quinapyramine Sulphate 1.5 g & Quinapyramine Chloride 1.0g
Each sachet of Transquin therapeutic contains:
Quinapyramine Sulphate 3.0g



Description:
Injection Transquin Prosalt seems to bind DNA and Inhibit Kinetoplast. DNA synthesis in parasites leading to inhibition of growth and cell divison

Indications:
Effective for the treatment of Trypanosomiasis or Surra Injection Transquin Prosalt is active against T.congolense, T.evansi, T.vivax, T.equiperdum are also susceptible. T.brucei is affected. Action against T.simiae is reported.

Side effects:
No side Effect

Dosage:
Dissolve Transquin Prosalt 2.5gm in 15ml distilled water and inject prepared solution 2ml per 45kg body weight by S/C injection. Due to the release of histamine; a hard swelling may persist for years at the site of injection.



Withdrawal times:
Meat 21 days, Milk 4 days.

Packing:
Transquin Prophylactic 2.5gm sachet-10 sachet carton
Transquin therapeutic: 3gm sachet-10 sachet in a carton
Glass vials: 2.5gm with distilled water
