Description
Strepcillin proves to have a wide range of activity both in vivo and in vitro against many Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria including:Erysipelas infections, Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Klebsiella, Salmonella, Listeria, Haemophilus, Leptospira , Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Corynebacterium Spp .Strepcillin is designed accurately to achieve a high systemic bioavailability. After parenteral administration of Strepcillin, the procaine penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin are rapidly absorbed from the site of injection, with high maximum plasma concentration achieved within one to two hours post injection.
Indications
is the best choice for the treatment of respiratory and gastrointestinal tract infections, uro-genital tract infections, arthritis, mastitis, pre or post-operation, navel/joint ill, septicaemiaand Leptospirosis in different species of animals.
Contra indications
-Not to be used in animals known to be allergic to penicillin or dihydrostreptomycin.-Not to be used if -lactamase producing organisms are known to be present.
Side effects
Operators that are allergic to penicillin or dihydrostreptomycin should avoid skin contact with the product. When treatment is repeate the same injection site should not be used twice.Dosage
Administer by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.Shake the container before use.
Treatment should be given once daily for up to 3-5 consecutive days.
