Do not administer during pregnancy. Do not administer at the parturition with insufficient opening of the uterus neck. Do not use in the cases of delivery obstructions.
| | Side effects: |
Incorrectly administered or over-dosed, oxytocin may result in prolonged tonic contraction of the uterus, stoppage of the parturition, impairment of placenta circulation, thus leading to hypoxia or death of the foetus, burst of the uterus or tachycardia.

Intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intravenous injection.
Cows and mares: 10-60 IU, i.m., s.c.
Sheep and goats: 10-20 IU i.m., s.c.
Pigs: 10-30 IU (dependent on body weight), i.m., s.c.
Dogs: 2-15 IU (dependent on body weight), i.m., s.c.
