We are the manufacturer of a new true point-of-care haematology analyzer Chempaq XBC that has been sold to general practitioners in Europe for the past two years. The Chempaq XBC was 510k approved by FDA for the human market in December 2005, and we have just recently opened an office in North Carolina, US.
The Chempaq XBC is based on a disposable cassette that contains all necessary reagents, a small desktop Reader, 1 step-analysis and results provided in 3 minutes. The key principle is impedance measurement for cell-counting and dual-wavelength photometry for haemoglobin.
In June this year, we launched the Chempaq VET (WBC (total white blood cell count), 3-part differential, HB and HCT for use with companion animals. The Chempaq VET is based on the same platform as the human product, ... but with changes developed in cooperation with the Royal Danish Veterinary University. The Chempaq VET has already been very well received with the Danish Veterinarian clinics, due to its:
