Descripción
As a third generation fluoroquinolone,it is a broad-spectrum bactericidal and antibiotic. Its activity is concentration dependent. The mechanism of action is to inhibit bacterial DNA-gyrase, prevent DNA supercoiling and synthesis.
Indicaciones
It is used as anti-infective agent for the management of diseases of dogs and cats, pigs, cattle and poultry associated with the enrofloxacin sensitive bacterials.
Contra-indicaciones
respiratory respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and soft tissue injury.
Efectos secundarios
has an adverse effect on developing bones and joints.
