20% FLYFALL feed additive contains: 200mg of Cyromazine.

Description

Cyromazine (N-cyclopropyl-1, 3, 5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine) is a new class of IGR derived from azidotriazine herbicides (shen & Plapp 1990) causing death to larvae or deform ting to pupae ( Friedel & McDonell 1985). In poultry farms it has been used for the control of manure-breeding flies, (especially house flies Musca domestica L) in two ways: feed through larvicide or as spray applied over the manure.

Indications

FLYFALL (Cyromazine) is an insect growth regulator (IGR) belonging to the group of triazine derivative. Cyromazine interferes with the chitin metabolism of the insect. Treated larvae will molt to the next stage and thus the cycle of fly will be interrupted. The molecule also shows a high specificity for the fly larvae. First instar larvae are much more susceptible to Cyromazine than second & third instars. The effect on the fly population become visible approx. 2 weeks after first inclusion of flyfall into the feed.

Mode of action: FLYFALL is an insect growth regulator containing Cyromazine which exerts its toxic action by affecting the nervous system of the immature stages (larvae)
