Greendown (Canada) Ltd. is the Canadian operating subsidiary of the Dutch based Fondel group of companies. This privately owned Group can trace its history back to 1933 and currently has an annual turnover in excess of US2 Billion. Its core businesses include investment, metals and ferroalloys and specialty chemicals. As an offshoot of these businesses, the Group also owns and operates three general cargo vessels, which sail regularly between Europe and the Caribbean as well as warehousing and stevedoring facilities in Holland (Rotterdam and Moerdijk), Finland (Kotka) Lithuania (Klaipeda) and Russia (St. Petersburg).
