Isvir Indian Society Of Vadcular And International Radiology

The practice of cardiovascular and interventional radiology CVIR in India began in early 1970s in isolated tertiary care teaching hospitals. The first organized effort to establish an Indian society was conceived in June, 1988 in New Delhi at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. The move was revived in 1993 after the formation of the Asia-Pacific society and a decision to start an Indian society was made.
