Komposition
Contains per gram powder:200 mg. Amprolium hydrochloride
150 mg. Sulfaquinoxaline
15 000 IU. Vitamin A, retinol-acetate
5 mg. Vitamin K3
Verschreibung
Amprolium is an anticoccidial with activity against Eimeria spp., especially Eimeria tenellaand Eimeria necatrix. Sulfaquinoxaline is a chemotherapeutics with a bacteriostatic activity
against many grampositive and gramnegative bacteria and has also coccidiostatic activity
against Eimeria spp.
Indikation
Coccidiosis in calves, sheep, goats and poultry.Kontra-Indikationen
Administration to animals with impaired liver and/or renal function.Hypersensitivity to amprolium and/or sulfaquinoxaline.
Nebenwirkungen
At high dosages in laying-hens egg-drop and in broilers growth inhibition and polyneuritis can occur. Crystalluria, anaemie, leucopenia and thrombocytopenia.Dosierung
For oral administration:Calves, sheep and goats:
Preventive: 1 gram per 50 - 100 kg. body weight through drinking water or milk for 21 days.
Curative : 5 gram per 25 - 50 kg. body weight through drinking water or milk for 5 days.
Poultry: 20 gram per 20 - 40 litre drinking water for 5 - 7 days.
Note: for pre-ruminant calves, lambs and kids only. Do not administer to hens producing eggs for human consumption.
