Contains per gram powder:200 mg. Gentamycin sulphate
1 g. Carrier ad.
Verschreibung
Gentamycin sulphate belongs to the group of aminoglycosides and acts bactericidal against mainly Gram-negative bacteria like E. coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella and Salmonella spp. The bactericidal action is based on inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis.Indikation
Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by gentamycin sensitive bacteria, like E. coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella and Salmonella spp., in calves, goats, poultry, sheep and swineKontra-Indikationen
Hypersensitivity to gentamycin sulphate.Administration to animals with a serious impaired liver and/or renal function.
Nebenwirkungen
Hypersensitivity reactions.High and prolonged application may result in neurotoxicity, ototoxicity or nephrotoxicity.
Dosierung
For oral administration:Calves goats and sheep: Twice daily 1 gram per 20 kg. body
weight for 4 - 5 days.
Poultry and swine : 50 gram per 100 litres drinking water
for 4 - 5 days.
Note: for pre-ruminant calves, lambs and kids only.
